Midnight Street Drifting.
It’s nights like these that remind me how invigorating and spontaneous being a car enthusiast can be. There’s a certain feeling that can only be created by the sounds of cars sliding on rain slicked pavement and the visuals of light reflecting off the glossy ground.
Marcus described it as “playing Forza IRL, calling up friends to join your lobby and go drifting” and I can’t shake how strangely accurate that description is. It’s this feeling of light heartedness that makes spending time with these guys feel so refreshing, especially compared to the norm of people taking things far too seriously all the time. Nobody is here to prove a point, just slide around with friends and grin lots.
I am constantly reminded that I need to grateful of the fact that I am surrounded by people that value fun and excitement the same way I do. Maybe we all need to take a break from seriousness and go slide around in the rain a bit more.
