We Built a Konbini INSIDE Our Shop!
In this week’s video, we decided to do something a little different. Our shop has been the backdrop for the last few videos, but we wanted to give it a fresh twist that matched the energy of our Japan-focused content. The idea was simple: turn the space into our own version of a Lawson convenience store. With some careful planning, a pile of vinyl, and a bit of imagination, the shop slowly transformed into a bright blue konbini-inspired environment that felt straight out of Tokyo.

The temporary makeover did more than give us a fun filming location. It set the stage for a segment that captures the vibe of Japanese car culture and the everyday details that make it so special. From the signage to the layout, we aimed to recreate that familiar feeling of stepping into a late-night Lawson run after a spirited drive.

While we were wrapped up in building our mini konbini, Jake surprised us with something completely unexpected. He had managed to import a JDM luxury car that none of us had ever seen before, let alone heard much about. It is rare, unusual, and very different from the cars that typically make their way into North America.
